01 About FC

We come from inside the energy industry.
So your story rings true.

We worked inside operators, developers, EPCs, and asset managers before founding Foundation Collective. We know the work because we did the work. That's the only reason the stories we help you tell can ring true.

02 Showreel

A look at the work.

Stories we've helped energy companies tell — the people inside the projects, in the language their audiences actually use.

03 The gap we built FC to close

Every energy company has the same problem.

The people who do the work. Engineers, project directors, operations leads. They rarely write the company's story. Someone in marketing writes it for them, in language that sounds like every other energy company in the sector.

The result: brand-safe, copyable, identical content. The work disappears under corporate gloss. Audiences can't tell anyone apart.

We built FC to close that gap. We sit beside the people who do the work, learn what they know, then help you tell the story in language the audience actually wants to hear.

04 What we believe

Four principles. Every decision flows from them.

The work makes the story

The story lives in the engineers, project directors, and operators. Not in marketing. Our job is to surface what's already true, not invent it.

Depth beats reach

We cap intake deliberately. Members get a dedicated team, not a slice of one. Reach without depth is wallpaper.

Inside before outside

If we don't understand your work cold, we can't help you tell it. We sit beside leadership, then beside the people who do the actual work.

Proof over polish

Real numbers, named projects, in-room moments. We'd rather show one thing that's true than ten that sound good.

05 Founder

Chris Taylor

Managing Director, Foundation Collective

"We built FC because we kept watching well-run energy companies hire marketing partners who couldn't tell a development consent order from a final investment decision. The relationship was always backwards: the people who knew were the ones being asked. We fix that."

Project director · 3.1GW+ M&A · 1.3GW+ closed Ex-CCO · multi-asset operator Currently also CCO · PX Group

06 The journey

Four years in. Capped, deliberate, deeper.

  1. 2022 Chris founds FC after a decade inside operators and developers.
  2. 2023 First members onboarded. Capped intake established from day one.
  3. 2024 Restate Framework codified. First workshops with member leadership.
  4. 2025 Filmed in 12+ countries. Team grows to specialist film + design leads.
  5. 2026 Restated platform launches. Methodology productised. 14+ countries.

07 The team

Small by design.
Same faces, every shoot.

Every member gets the same team across strategy, content, and production. Same faces every shoot, every storyboard, every quarterly review.

08 How we work

Membership, not hourly billing.

FC is a membership practice, not an agency. Members commit to an annual partnership and get a dedicated team across strategy, content, and production. The same team, every month, learning your business deeper as the year goes on.

Membership is capped. We will not take on a member unless we believe we can do the work properly, which is why we ask prospects to apply rather than just buy. The trade-off is depth. We sacrifice scale to be useful.

  1. 01
You apply. We assess fit on the work, the sector, the chemistry. We tell you within a week.
  2. 02
If we proceed, we run a discovery against the Restate Framework. Origin, Tension, Credibility, Voices, Architecture, Trajectory.
  3. 03
From there we build the year's content architecture and start producing. Hero films, social, advisory, design, the rest.

You're the protagonist. We're the trusted advisor.

Your work deserves better comms.
Let's fix that.

Tell us what you're building and what isn't landing. We assess fit within a week. Then we tell you honestly whether membership, a project, or Restated is the right way to start.
